Disabled American Veterans Donations
Donate a Gift of Money to the DAV
DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year. The organization provides more than 700,000 rides for veterans attending medical appointments and assists veterans with more than 300,000 benefit claims annually. In 2015, DAV helped attain more than $4 billion in new and retroactive benefits to care for veterans, their families and survivors.
Help the DAV by dropping off your slightly used clothes and shoes in the drop boxes next to the Legion. Please remember to help our veterans in need all year long.
Auxiliary Food Shelf Donations
The Dan Patch Auxiliary believes that Veteran and Community service is our calling. Find out more information about the American Legion Auxiliary of Dan Patch Post 643 on our Post Information page.
Your donations to our Food Shelf Project have helped supply food to the local area food shelves since 2009. We want to thank you for your past donations and encourage you to continue to give to this ongoing project. Much help is needed not only for veterans but also for local community residents.
Place your non-perishable food donation next to the sign in stand by the parking lot entrance.
We distribute food to The Lewis House:
Since Lewis House opened its doors in 1979, more than 80,000 survivors of domestic violence have benefited from its safety, support and advocacy services, with help provided to over 3,000 women and children annually. Trained advocates offer emotional support, safety planning, referrals to community resources and help in navigating the court system.
